BarTaco- Highly Recommend

Emma and I having to block the rain so our hair doesn't get ruined.

Here we go again with the Seaport in Boston... a life changing experience, let me tell you. My girlfriends and I decided we should go out and try this new place that everyone had been raving about, called BarTaco. My older sister, Abby, went with her girls and elaborated on it for days. It was only a matter of time for her to convince me to gather my crew and get on over there- so we picked a night, made a reservation and went. What we didn't know was that the weather of our day of choice was going to suck! The five of us got dressed up, in cute clothes, and ubered into the city. We went in a little bit prior to the reservation time so we could walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Once we got there it was not so long until the rain started to come down, hard. We ran and had to hide under a buildings roof until we called another uber to pick us up from location A and bring us to location B, BarTaco.

Us making jokes about 2020.

On the ride home- masks on, rain free.

When we finally arrived it was a relief. Emma, Deanna, Francesca, Courtney and I were finally inside in the dry, scrumptious-smelling restaurant. Thrilled was an understatement. As we got to our seats we sat down, scanned the barcode for the menu and browsed for a little bit. The menu was only looking yummier and yummier as we kept scrolling, so we decided to get an appetizer. I decided that I wanted falafel. Ironically enough, I have never tried falafel before. It was TO DIE FOR! I would definitely recommend trying this if you have never before. For my entree I decided to get a cauliflower bowl. In this bowl came roasted cauliflower topped with romesco sauce, pesto chicken, peppers, onions and cilantro. Boy oh boy was this dish amazing. Usually, I am not one to get much on my meals- never mind all of what came in this bowl. But, today was a day of trying new things so there I went.

My falafel.

After we all stuffed our faces we, obviously, needed a picture. Our waiter was kind enough to take this for us.

After we paid the bill we were ready to be on our way. So, we left. My younger sister, Emma, happened to be working at a restaurant right down the street called Mare Oyster Bar.

Mare...yum

Honestly, there is not one bad thing I could say about Mare. That is a fan favorite, especially for my parents. Knowing that Emma was working we stopped by to say hello before we grabbed an uber back home. Emma, kind enough, had an open area for us to sit down and have a drink. We got to sit at the fire pits with the luxury couches. It was amazing and I would rate this a 10/10 experience. Service is excellent, drinks are amazing and the atmosphere/view beats everything.

A "complimentary" limoncello drink.

Enjoying the view.

If I have to tell you one thing that would be to visit Boston and check out BarTaco as well as Mare.
