The Woodberry
A Wonderful Day Spent With Friends
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon that was spent with friends. All of my friends live off of campus rather than on campus at Loyola, some live at the Woodberry. The Woodberry could possibly be one of the nicest apartment homes I have seen thus far in Baltimore. They have many outdoor areas, but the area we chose was with the grills and tables.
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon for a barbecue. So, that is what we did. The guys bought meat and cooked them perfectly. The guys made ribs, burgers, hot dogs and chicken. It was all amazing. The girls on the other hand brought all of the "bird food." We made buffalo chicken dip, penne alla vodka, fruit salad, bean and corn salad, regular salad and brownies.
On my plate was salad, fruit salad, a lot of buffalo chicken dip, a hot dog and half of a rib. I tried the penne alla vodka, but it was not made to how I usually like it, therefore I did not waste it because others enjoyed it an abundance. Let me backup to that buffalo chicken dip really quick... oh my was it good. I loved it so much and it was only my second time trying it. Something about this dip though was spectacular and I for sure could eat it every day of my life.
In the fruit salad we incorporated pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and oranges. It was very refreshing and was a big hit. The corn and bean salad was not my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong corn is delicious, but beans are something that freaks me out. That was the dish that I did not want to try.
All of us played games like corn hole and were just listening to music, talking and enjoying life. It was a beautiful day.

After the barbecue was over we all cleaned up, went up stairs and continued on with the night. We stayed at the apartment for a while to just hang out because a friend who transferred freshman year was visiting. We were having a blast but then decided to go out and continue on with the fun...

If you are ever in need of a fun day with friends I will suggest having a barbecue. Everyone is required to bring something, no one is allowed to come empty handed. With that rule no one will be left hungry and everyone is bound to like at least one dish being served. It is smart, it is fun and it is effective.
Another thing people should keep in mind is be curtious of allergies. Many people have many allergies and even just the touch of it may send them over. So, in that case, be sure to be kind and ask that question beforehand. You will be golden after this.
