One More Night at Home...

Foxborough, MA

2021 Spring Semester

A Scrumptious Dinner With my Roommate Before we Drove Back to Maryland!

Entering: Foxborough, MA. 'Home of the Patriots.'

One last night out for a nice dinner before road tripping back to Maryland won't hurt, would it? My roommate is from Norfolk, MA which is a small town right next to Foxborough, MA.

Foxborough, of course, is widely known for being the home field of the Patriots at Gillette Stadium. Aside from the field, Gillette Stadium, also known as, Patriots Place- has an abundance of delicious restaurants and marvelous shops.

Before getting to sleep early for a nice 6 1/2 hour drive back to school Melina and I decided to grab a quick meal at a restaurant called 'Six String.' I have never been before, but it was awesome. The vibes in there were awesome and the music being played aloud was even better. Prior to COVID, this restaurant would have live bands come and preform each weekend for a fun night out. I cannot wait until I am able to partake in those types of activities again.

Outside of 'Six String!'

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who is ever around this area. For an appetizer we got teriyaki wings that came with carrots, celery and ranch dressing. Yuuummm- my favorite! Personally, I like flat wings better than drum wings, but honestly, I would eat any type of wing/any flavor/any size. I love wings!

As for a cocktail I got the 'Walk the Line.' In this drink was Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Whiskey (my favorite, I know that may be weird, but it is my favorite), peach puree, simple syrup and iced tea. I enjoyed this drink so much that I got two! I looked at the menu prior to arriving and I knew that this was going to be my drink of choice- but when I got there I asked my waitress for a recommendation and ironically enough, she said this drink!

10/10... if you're 21+ and end up in the Foxborough area at Six String definitely ask for this drink!

Now onto the good stuff...entrees! Everyone who knows me knows that I love to try new things, now. That for sure has not been the case my whole life. All of my life growing up I was the most picky eater you could ever meet- I'm not kidding. What kid doesn't like pizza? Or chicken fingers? Well, I'm glad I grew out of that phase and grew up because now I try anything and everything.

For dinner I got the 'Chicken and Avocado Flatbread Pizza.' Boy oh boy could I rave on this dish for days. My mouth is watering just thinking about it right now. On my flatbread was pesto sauce as the base, mozzarella AND feta cheese (feta is my favorite cheese of all time- its the GOAT of cheese), then grilled chicken and avocado slicing. WOW. It was so good I had to bring it home and finish it in the car ride back to MD the next day.

So many delicious options...

A fun little area in the ladies room!
